In a ceremony organised for the 24th anniversary of the liberation of Pristina, the Municipality of Pristina has posthumously awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of Pristina”, to Lord Paddy Ashdown, in recognition of his contribution for justice and the independence of Kosovo.
Paddy (as he was affectionately known) had a profound impact on the people of Kosovo. In opposing the atrocities and supporting the independence of Kosovo, Paddy testified at the international court in The Hague.
