Josephine C. M. Faal has a multifaceted background as a Development Economist, businesswoman and writer. She has extensive development experience working on multilateral and government programmes in the EU and Africa. Her focus areas include regional integration, international trade, economic growth, poverty reduction.
Josephine is the founder and CEO of Development Round Table Ltd, dedicated to promoting trade, investment, and development ties between Africa and the United Kingdom. She also previously founded Smart & Savvy Women, a rapidly growing TV production company that leverages the power of storytelling to showcase Africa’s creative talent to the world.
In her role as the Creative Director and Executive Producer of Fit for a First Lady TV, Josephine advocates for African women and youth entrepreneurship in the fashion industry, championing issues of access to finance and export markets. Additionally, Josephine is an accomplished author, having launched her debut novel, My Mother’s Son, in 2024.
